Bruce Cowley, Chairperson BCom LLB (HONS) FAICD
Bruce Cowley is a partner of Minter Ellison, Australia's largest law firm, Chairman of Partners in the firm's Brisbane office, and an elected member of the Minter Ellison Board. A practising lawyer for more than 30 years, he is adviser to many public and private companies and government corporations. He has a particular interest in directors' duties and crisis management issues and has spoken and written widely on corporate governance in Australia. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD), member of the Queensland State Council of the AICD and sits on the AICD's Law Committee. Outside the law, Bruce is involved in a number of organisations that work to facilitate and provide educational and vocational opportunities for students and indigenous youth, including as a Director of RM Williams Australian Bush Learning Centre Ltd and as President of the Queensland Private Enterprise Centre, Inc. He sits on the Council of the University of the Sunshine Coast and is a member of Griffith University's Business School Advisory Board. He is currently Deputy Chair of the Cerebral Palsy League in Queensland.

Kerry Prior, Deputy Chairperson AM, LLB
Kerry Prior was Chairman of McCullough Robertson Lawyers for more than 18 years. He continues to practice as a consultant in the Corporate Advisory Group of that firm and has extensive experience in commercial and resources law and taxation. Mr Prior was chairman of Devine Ltd for many years and a director of other public and private companies. He is former State Chairman and National Councillor of the Taxation Institute of Australia and former Chairman of the Queensland Office of Financial Supervision. Mr Prior is a founding member of the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Board, which was established in 1985.

Adrian Di Marco, BSc, FAICD
Adrian Di Marco is the founder and Executive Chairman of Technology One Ltd, one of Australia’s largest publicly listed software companies. Mr Di Marco has founded and developed a number of successful Australian IT companies. He has played a major role in promoting the Australian IT industry, as past director of the Australian Information Industry Association, the peak body for the Australian IT industry and as a founding member of Software Queensland, an organisation specifically established to promote the Queensland Software industry. He has been a director of a number of other IT companies, including the chairman for the inQbator that provides funding for young startup IT companies. Mr Di Marco is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a regular speaker at business forums. Mr Di Marco has received recognition for his contribution to industry including the prestigious 2010 Australian Information Industry Association Award for Individual Achievement, the 2009 Brisbane’s Business Person of the Year, the 2004 Pearcey Award for “innovative and pioneering achievement and contribution to R&D in IT”. In 2001 he was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year award. Mr Di Marco was appointed to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Board in 2004.

Susan Forrester, EMBA BA LLB (Hons)
Originally trained as a banking and finance lawyer, Susan Forrester brings to the Board more than 20 years of commercial experience in the legal, governance and human resource areas, spanning the public and private sectors. This experience was gathered whilst in executive management roles in corporate treasury and professional services firms during which time she completed an Executive MBA with Melbourne Business School, specialising in change management and strategy. Susan serves as a non-executive director on the Boards of Ergon Energy Corporation Limited, G8 Education Ltd, Shine Lawyers Ltd, Gold Coast Parklands and the Brisbane Festival Pty Ltd. In addition to her Board portfolio, Susan leads the strategy practice within Board Matters Pty Ltd, a specialist governance consultancy.

Professor Alan Isles MBBS (Hons) AM, MSc, FRACP, FRCP(C)
Professor Isles is a paediatric respiratory physician at the Royal Children’s Hospital. He trained in paediatrics at the Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane and obtained post-graduate clinical and research experience in paediatric respiratory medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. He served as both a Senior Staff Specialist and Visiting Medical Officer in paediatric respiratory medicine from 1984 until 1998 when he was appointed to the position of District Manager of RCH and HSD. Between 1998 and 2008, Professor Isles held a range of senior executive positions in the Royal Children’s Hospital and Health Service District and, subsequently, in the Children’s Health Service. Professor Isles is also a Past-President of Children’s Hospitals Australasia. Professor Isles also holds an academic appointment with the Dept of Paediatrics and Child Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland. Professor Isles is an inaugural Director of the Queensland Children’s Medical Research Institute. Professor Isles was appointed to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Board in 1997.

John Lyons BBus, MBA, CPA, FAICD
Founder and former chairman of Marketshare, John Lyons is an independent company director and businessman, with a special interest in seriously innovative companies. He is chairman of library technology company Softlink International Ltd; director of O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat and Villas; and co-founder and director of search and analysis engine Wotnews, and of data company WorldExchange. He is an advisory board director of FINH, Jetts Fitness and Principal Partners. Mr Lyons is also an honorary Adjunct Professor at the Bond University Australian Centre for Family Business, a Queensland Councillor of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a co-author with Dr Edward de Bono. Mr Lyons was appointed to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Board in 2000.

Andrea Staines BEcon MBA AICD
Andrea Staines is a professional Non-Executive Director and Company Advisor. She is currently a Director of QR National and Allconnex Water. She also advises small and medium-sized companies on implementing board governance, strategic planning and risk management. She is a former CEO of Australian Airlines, a Qantas subsidiary flying between Asia and Australia which she co-launched in 2002. At this time, she was also a member of the Qantas Executive Committee. Prior to Qantas, Ms Staines worked in various financial roles with American Airlines at their Dallas headquarters. Ms Staines is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and is an occasional MBA Guest Lecturer and CEO Mentor. She has an MBA majoring in Finance from the University of Michigan in the US, and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland. Ms Staines was appointed to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Board in 2007.

Dr Peter Steer MD BS FRACP FRCPC FAAP
Dr Steer was appointed CEO of Children’s Health Service in January 2009. This follows a long and distinguished career as a neonatologist, senior medical administrator and academic both in Australia and overseas. A graduate of the University of Queensland, Dr Steer was most recently the President of McMaster Children’s Hospital in Canada. During this time Dr Steer was Chief of Paediatrics at the hospital as well as at St Joseph’s Healthcare at Hamilton. He was also a Professor and Chair of the Department of Paediatrics at McMaster University.
Dr Steer has previously held senior leadership roles at the Mater Children’s Hospital, School of Public Health at the University of Queensland and the Centre of Clinical Studies for Women’s and Children’s Health.

Andrew is the General Manager Philanthropy responsible for Perpetual’s total Philanthropic Services including the management of over 450 Charitable Trusts, Private Ancillary Funds and The Perpetual Foundation. In Andrew's professional career he has been the Executive Director of a large national not-for-profit organisation which operated in every State and Territory in Australia, providing very hands on view to the matrix of various regulations that non-profit organisations face.

Melissa Watter, Director Sequel Communications
Melissa Watter is a Director and co-founder of Sequel Communications, a highly successful Brisbane-based public relations and marketing consultancy. Prior to moving into the consultancy sector, Ms Watter was a well-respected media identity who worked for 12 years in metropolitan newspapers, radio and television. She has a vast network of current media industry contacts and established relationships with key media decision-makers locally, nationally and internationally. Ray Weekes is Chairman of the CEO Institute, Queensland. He was previously Chief Executive and Executive Director of Rothman’s Holdings Ltd, and Managing Director of Castlemaine Perkins Ltd. He holds various directorships and corporate advisory roles. He is CEO-in-Residence/Adjunct Professor for the Queensland University of Technology’s Faculty of Business. Mr Weekes was appointed to the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Board in 1996.

Tracey has joined the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation in 2012 as the new CEO. Tracey brings business strength to the RCHF having had fifteen years in the IT industry in senior leadership roles, and then several years as a leader of large scale international projects in the government and not-for-profit sectors in various countries around the world. Tracey has strong marketing communications as well as extensive fundraising and major campaign experience.
