Dr Andrew Hallahan is paediatric oncologist (children's cancer doctor) and Director of the Children's Cancer Research Laboratory at the Royal Children's Hospital.

The cancer research team are working closely with Andrew to better understand cancer in children so researchers can find better treatments, and one day hopefully a cure for this devastating disease.

The Children's Health Foundation funds the wonderful work of the Children's Cancer Research Laboratory. Recently, with the Foundation's support, the Queensland Children's Cancer Centre was established. Based at the Royal Children's Hospital, the aim is to provide a single referral centre for kids with cancer from all over Queensland.

Now, we've added the Tumour Bank: a place where samples can be preserved and stored, allowing easier access to tumour specimens for a range of studies.

This, we believe, will lead to better treatments and outcomes for our sick kids. We're already seeing results, but more can be done. With your support we can continue our quest to improve treatments and outcomes for sick kids.
