I joined the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation (RCHF) in 2003 as a Fundraising Assistant - I was keen to progress my career in the industry.
Working day-to-day with experienced fundraisers was an absolute fantastic opportunity to develop my skills in the not-for-profit sector. After four months I was promoted to Fundraising Coordinator and assumed account management responsibilities for Fit4Fun schools program and other small to medium accounts.
In 2004 I also was given Woolworths Fresh Food Kids Hospital Appeal as my major account to manage (RCHF’s longest standing and largest corporate partner).
In 2006 there was a restructure with the Fundraising Department, I assumed people management responsibilities for two direct reports as a Senior Fundraising Manager, and then in 2008, Executive Manager for the Retail team.
2012 began a new journey, working alongside Tracey Hunter as CEO and Sommer Davies as Director. Both dedicated and brilliant fundraisers, leading the team to new opportunities, transition to Children’s Health Foundation and building on our mandate to support sick kids in regional Queensland.
My portfolio now involves strategically managing new campaigns through Retail, Corporate and Resources sector, and other new business initiatives whilst also managing three direct reports.
