Preliminary Research Program Proposal

During the next three years, the Queensland Children’s Medical Research Institute (QCMRI) will offer as many as six research programs valued up to $500,000 each annually for a maximum of five years or as advised. Individuals can only be a named Chief Investigator on one program grant, although they can be an Associate Investigator on other program grant applications.

QCMRI Science PhD Scholarship

The Queensland Children’s Medical Research Institute (QCMRI) Science PhD Scholarships are offered to science graduates who will conduct their research under the auspices of the QCMRI. Graduates of outstanding ability will gain full time research experience and training in an area related to child and adolescent health, and professional development of the research scholar through the conduct of a specific research project.

Clinical PhD Scholarships for Health Professionals

The Queensland Children’s Medical Research Institute (QCMRI) Clinical PhD Scholarships for health professionals are offered to those enrolled in a full time PhD and who will conduct their research under the auspices of QCMRI. The scholarship will encourage health care professionals of outstanding ability to gain full time research experience and training in an area related to child and adolescent health and to encourage the professional development of the research scholar through the conduct of a specific research project.

* If applications that meet the specific criteria are not received, or if the standard of applications is not considered to be appropriate, QCMRI reserves the right to withhold some scholarships in any given year.
