Flynn’s grandmother, Sharron, became a monthly donor in June 2008. She wrote the following letter with her sign-up sheet:

“I am writing to thank 'working wonders' for the support my daughter has received whilst her 11 month old baby Flynn is in hospital. He has been in intensive care for some weeks now and the support from staff and volunteers has been incredible. This is a hard time for any parent but particularly when coming from a regional area to Brisbane with no access to family. My daughter’s partner Robert has to work and only gets to Brisbane for a brief period on a fortnightly basis.

Sharron’s StoryRhiannon and Flynn have received visits from social workers, been entertained, had music therapy and access, when Flynn was healthier, to the play room and whilst in ICU children's DVDs.

As Flynn's grandmother, Rhiannon's mum and Robert’s future mother in law a heart felt thank you for the wonderful job everyone is doing. Please accept my monthly donation as a small token of my appreciation.”
