The Everest Virtual Challenge
Watch this space for the 2009 dates...
The Everest Virtual Challenge, presented by Heritage Building Society, is an exciting walking program and unique fundraising event, where you and your team mates race to the ‘virtual' top of the world.
Just 10,000 steps per person per day for a team of 15 will add up to 2.1 million steps - the number required to reach the summit of Mount Everest!
Teams can track their progress along the designated route via the online map. You can also see how you're going compared to other teams!
Participants are encouraged to seek sponsorship during the Challenge to work wonders for sick kids.
All funds raised will go towards funding children's medical research here in Brisbane. They will also provide services to brighten the lives of sick kids and their families who visit the Royal Children's Hospital from throughout Queensland, Australia and overseas.
So join the fun! Participating in the Everest Virtual Challenge is a great way to measure and improve your level of physical activity, while raising much needed funds for sick kids.
Don't forget there are great prizes for the first to cross the finish line, and highest fundraisers.
The Everest Virtual Challenge will be happening again in early 2009. Watch this space for more information.
If your business is interested in becoming a sponsor in 2009, please contact Bill Maddock at billm@workingwonders.com.au
