Further intakes will be in October and November. Please check our site in September for more details. Recruitment process:Pending a successful application and reference checks you will be invited to attend our Volunteer Training Program. Volunteers are not able to commence work until they have successfully completed the training program, have had positive reference checks and hold a valid, current Working with Children Blue Card. The Blue Card application is processed for you by the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation and can take up to eight weeks. The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation reserves the right to decline a volunteer application. The training program covers learning areas such as:

The Commission for Children and Young People Act 2000 (QLD) requires that people who work with children in certain categories of employment undergo the ‘working with children’ check. All RCH Foundation employees must be eligible for a Blue Suitability Card, issued by the Commission. The issue and maintenance of a positive suitability notice could be a requirement for continued employment at the Foundation. |
