Thank you Rhino Finance, Black and White Cabs and the Brisbane Broncos!
| Rhino Finance, the Brisbane Broncos and Black & White Cabs have joined forces to create a night to remember for some of Queensland's sickest kids and their families. Rhino Finance purchased and donated passes for two adults and two children for every Broncos home game in 2008, in addition to a $50 food voucher for every game. The Brisbane Broncos are helping by providing Broncos packs for all the kids, and Black and White Cabs have even donated transport to and from the games. Director of Rhino Finance, Brendan Ryan, said: "It took a few months to get this project off the ground, but I really wanted to make a difference to some people who are having, or have had, a rough trot." "I have three small children myself and having spent a couple of days in the wards of the Royal Children's just late last year with my youngest son made me feel that I would like to make a difference to others." "Basically I wanted this to be a free trip to the footy for the family, with them having no expenses," he said. Nine year old Morgan is one patient who attended a Bronco's game recently. Morgan was diagnosed with leukaemia on Christmas Eve in 2007. His mum, Simone said: "Our son Morgan, who is nine, is currently being treated for Leukemia at the Brisbane Royal Children's Hospital. A few weeks ago, our whole family - myself, my husband, Morgan, and our other seven year old son Mason - were given the opportunity to go and watch the Broncos versus Manly at Suncorp Stadium." "We are all big Broncos fans, and to be able to see them play was so exciting. We are so grateful for the kindness and generosity of these three businesses, in being able to give families the opportunity to go and watch a game." "Also to be able to be like a normal family, do something together, go out and be part of what is happening out there was truly wonderful. We enjoyed every moment, from the taxi rides, having something to eat, being able to yell and scream during the game, and to be right there at the stadium." Thanks Rhino Finance, Black and White Cabs and the Brisbane Broncos!!! |
