Bikes 4 Burns Raffle Winners. In May 2013, 43 fire fighters from across Queensland, with support crews, volunteered their time to participate in a seven-day 850 km gruelling bike ride to raise funds for the Burns Unit at the Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane.  Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets and donated to this fabulous event.

BRISBANE – 14 May 2013: The Golden Casket Community Program will certainly help work wonders for sick children across Queensland with a $500,000 donation presented to the Children’s Health Foundation.

The donation will go towards funding of the ‘Bug Detectives’ in the Queensland Paediatric Infectious Diseases (QPID) laboratory of Queensland Children's Medical Research Institute (QCMRI) at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Forty-three fire fighters from across Queensland will leave Brisbane Wednesday 15 May to complete a gruelling 850 kilometre undulating bike ride over seven days, raising vital funds for burns research at the Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane.
