What We Do

Bribie Island Supa Sellers

Bribie Island IGA are raising money for the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation through Christmas decorations.

The Supa IGA in Welsby Parade, Bongaree have been selling record amounts of Christmas wall tokens, featuring two little Queensland heroes, Chelsi and Jack, who have been treated at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

In just ten days, the storeIGAWallTokens.JPG sold 602 wall tokens valued at $2 each.

The supermarket's front end controller, Loray, said that two shop assistants in particular, Cathy (pictured on the left) and Shirley (pictured on the right) have been the driving force behind the extraordinary amount of wall tokens sold.

“Shirley and Cathy have been our top sellers - up to $100 a day each!” said Loray.

“We decided to hang the wall tokens as Christmas decorations from the ceiling and it has also helped create interest, as well as raise more money for sick kids.”

Proceeds from the wall tokens will help the Foundation to invest in groundbreaking research, leading to faster diagnoses, better treatments and ultimately cures for sick kids.

Cornetts IGA, is a group of 40 family-owned supermarkets spread throughout Queensland that is working wonders for sick kids by selling wall tokens to raise money for the Kids Christmas Appeal.
