Patients in the Royal Children’s Hospital were treated to a surprise visit by three Brisbane Broncos players on Thursday 9 June.
Broncos stars Ben Te’o, Nick Kenny and Scott Anderson spent a couple of hours at the hospital, visiting kids in the oncology outpatients and respiratory wards.
Patients and their families – as well as the doctors and nurses! – were thrilled when the players walked in and took the time to chat, sign posters and pose for photos with the kids.
One boy had travelled all the way from Rockhampton for treatment, and he and his family were delighted to swap stories with Broncos forward Nick, who grew up in the central Queensland town.
A huge thank you to Ben, Nick and Scott for taking time out of their busy season to brighten the day of sick kids at the RCH – and good luck against the Canberra Raiders this weekend!
