Children’s Week, which runs from 22 to 30 October 2011, is an annual event celebrating the right of every child to enjoy childhood and dedicating a time for them to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities.
Kids, their families and hospital staff gathered in the sunshine to enjoy a barbecue and entertainment from a local jazz band as well as members of Flipside Circus.
There was face painting and a craft table for the kids, as well as the most important addition to any party: cake for everyone!
Children’s Week incorporates events and activities for kids and families right across Queensland and Australia, and is celebrated in conjunction with Universal Children’s Day.
Thanks to all those involved in bringing the fun of Children’s Week to the kids at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
