Santa Claus made a special trip to the Royal Children’s Hospital this week, for the Variety Queensland Christmas in July event.
Run by Variety Queensland in conjunction with the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, the day began with the spectacle of a police car and fire engine arriving at the Hospital, creating plenty of excitement.
Representatives from the Queensland Police Service and the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service joined Santa as he visited the wards and distributed presents to patients and their siblings.
The party continued in the Wonder Factory, where Queensland Firebirds player Laura Geitz, and Network Ten presenters Amanda McLeay and Bill McDonald were on hand to meet patients and their families.
There were plenty of smiling faces as Santa posed for photos and made sure no one left without a gift.
Thanks to Variety Queensland, all of our special guests, and of course Santa for bringing joy and fun into the Hospital and working wonders for sick kids.
