The annual sporting memorabilia auction to raise funds for the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation is on again!
Up for grabs include an autographed and framed Powderfinger used drum skin plus photo of the band and a World Champions surfboard autographed by Steph Gilmore and Kelly Slater.
Auction coordinator, Senior Constable Mark Williams of the Sunshine Coast District said that the auction will not only raise crucial funds for paediatric medical research, but help people recognise the bravery children affected by illness and trauma show daily.
“Everyone who participates in the auction will contribute to assisting sick and injured children from right across Queensland,” Senior Constable Williams said.
“It’s such a worthwhile cause and I am proud we are now in our 12th year of fundraising for the Royal Children’s Hospital who are there to assist children and their families in their time of need.”
“Last year the auction raised $27,000 and to date we have raised a total of $175,000 to contribute to the foundation,” Senior Constable Williams said.
“I’m confident we can meet last year’s amazing result and I’m hopeful this will be our best effort yet.”
