Our beautiful daughter was diagnosed in May 2008 with two forms of leukaemia at 13 years of age. She spent 7 months in hospital. Chemo, radiation and then bone marrow transplant. now thank goodness she is 16 in remission over 2 years and loving life. Thank you to all the unbelievable staff. There is no substitute for Love, Hope, Courage, Strength and Faith. The battle is hard, the mountain is high, but we keep marching. Enjoy every day.

I love the bravery beads....I just wish this idea is instigated in all the childrens wards around Australia. My youngest daughter had many admissions when she was youngerduring a period of about 5 years with a heart condition and numerous illnesses. That is why I will always continue to support the Royal Childrens Hospital Foundation...WELL DONE !!!!

My son has been going thrue treatment for ALL, Leukemia. After almost 4 months of chemo treatments, we ended up doing a bone marrow transplant and they started him on the Warrior Beads while we were in the transplant unit. He loves them and loves showing them off. He just wishes they would have started his from the beginning of treatment so he would have a "HUGE-long" strand to show off all those transfusions, chemo treatments and radiation he did before the transplant. They are like getting to show off a cool scar...something that not just anyone gets. It gave him something to look forward to and to show for each bad thing he had to endure! Thank you to all who make them.

With illness comes knowledge, understanding and compassion. As humans we aim to support those dealing with all these types of diseases by way of medical, human or magical interventions. Striving to provide a great capacity to bring a smile to those who face these very realities. My love, heart, thoughts and prayers will always be shared with the ill. My appreciation, gratitude and admiration will always be directed towards those people who make the lives of the ill, so much brighter. Cheers to all involved.

My fifteen year old son was faced with Carcinoid Tumors early this year and has undergone three major operations todate to remove the tumors. The courage and resilience he has shown during the many operations and many tests has been wonderful. He never complains or asks "why me?" the staff and Drs at the RCH are truely our "Angels" and the ongoing support has been wonderful. The road ahead is unclear but we treasure each and everyday that we are together and thank god for the wonderful care that the RCH has given us. Please support the RCH even if only in a small way as it all adds up. Illness changes a family - more often than not bringing family closer together in strength and love.

An unwell child is one of the saddest things in the world for all the people around them but these kids just continue on their journey as though they know no different. We could all learn from their bravery and unwavering optimism.
