
Volunteers assist nursing staff to run parenting programs in the Paddington, Nundah, Strathpine and Alderley Community Child Health Centres and the Ellen Barron Family Centre, Chermside.

Tasks include:
Volunteers must be able to work independently, have a bubbly and enthusiastic nature, and be able to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds.
There are exciting volunteer roles available at the New Ellen Barron Family Centre at Chermside.
The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation provides volunteers to support families and nursing staff at the Ellen Barron Family Centre in Chermside. The centre supports families with young children and offers a five day residential program, Monday to Friday, and it has been custom designed for families with young children in mind. A parent education program is run each week, including presentations with topics such as play, relaxation and stress management.
Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation volunteers at the centre welcome and assist families, maintain the playroom and its resources, and provide assistance to nursing and administrative staff.

Information Station and Play Centre Volunteers
Monday to Friday 10:00am to 2:00pm (weekly)
