Parents In Theatre

 Parents In TheatreAs a volunteer you will assist parents and carers as they prepare to accompany their child into the operating theatre while the child goes under anaesthetic. This helps settle the child.

Volunteers dress in theatre attire, help to gown the parent and explain the theatre process, before both enter the operating theatre. The parents and staff are always grateful for the support our volunteers offer them, both before and after the anaesthetic procedure. This allows medical staff to focus on the child, while the volunteer offers a helping hand to the parent.
