Volunteer Tip of the Week

Costumes are to be returned to the cupboard in a neat and tidy manner.  Hats and props are to be placed on the shelf and all other items are to be placed on a hanger and returned to the hanging space.  Advise your supervisor of any soiled/dirty costumes and place the soiled items in the green laundry bag (where the dirty aprons are placed).

Photo of the Week

Congratulations to Coen Ashton, awarded a Child of Courage medal in the Pride of Australia Awards.  Many of you will know Coen from his regular visits to the RCH.  Coen completed a gruelling seven-week 2000km jet-ski ride down the Murrary River earlier this year to raise awareness about organ donation.  During the mammoth ride more than 1000 people signed up to become organ donors.

Coen is now at RCH Melbourne awaiting his double-lung transplant.  You can vote for Coen to win the National Awards at www.prideofaustralia.com.au.  Click on the CLICK HERE TO VOTE NOW and  select “Child of Courage”.
