Get Involved

Weekly update, 7 March 2011

Welcome to  this week's edition of Watch this Space.

Car Parking RCH & Surrounds

You may have noticed there is quite a bit of construction around the hospital and this will further increase when construction commences across the road on the Dentistry College.

Due to the number of tradespeople working at these construction sites, the Metro Car Park is becoming ‘FULL’ on a more frequent basis between 9am and midday, as are the car parks in Herston Rd and at the Women’s.  Street parking is also difficult after 9am.

We want you to be aware of this situation as you may be impacted.

We recommend that if the ‘FULL’ sign is out that you still pull in to the car park entrance, let the attendant know that you’re a volunteer and ask if there is any available parking for volunteers.

If there is nothing available the only other option we are able to offer is parking at RNA showgrounds.  To obtain entry into this car park you must have proof that you are a volunteer.  At this stage we recommend you drive up to the Foundation building (Lady Norman Wing) and obtain a business card from Heather.  The parking attendant at RNA will accept this as proof of volunteering.  You will need to pay $10 on entry, however we will reimburse you for this expense via our usual travel reimbursement process (you will need the receipt).

Please speak with your Supervisor if you have any questions or concerns.
