This week the Wonder Factory welcomes Amy Rose Schmidt-Tracey and Kirsti Bowerman. We also welcome new members to the Delta Pet Therapy team. On Monday May 10 Nadine and her German Sheppard Buddy will join our team to work wonders for sick kids through Pet Therapy. Please make sure you are wearing your yellow name badges and make them feel welcome.
This week the Wonder Factory said goodbye to Kathryn Rhoades and Antony Achille.
This is your last chance to get your tickets!! One of our Wonder Factory Tuesday volunteers, Jenny Smith and her husband, Peter, are taking part in The 7 Wonders Challenge-Great Wall of China Trek.
Each of the 18 trekkers pays their own travel costs and commit to raising funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Jenny & Peter’s goal is to raise $6,000 to benefit burns research at The Royal Children’s Hospital. As part of their fundraising they are hosting a Garden Party on Sunday May 16th from 2.30pm
Tickets are $50.00pp and will include drinks and food and there will be an auction- Prize donated by Travelscene Samford, and various raffle prizes on the day.

We have a gap in the roster that needs to be filled. Twice a week we provide volunteers to go up to Day Procedure unit to entertain the children that come into hospital for minor surgery and day procedures. The QPID Clinical Trials Group at the Royal Children’s Hospital is conducting a vaccine study for a potential new Staphylococcus aureus Vaccine for healthy adults aged 18 to 24 years and 50 to 85 years.
To be included in the study you must:
• Be healthy!
• Not have received a Staphylococcus aureus vaccine in the past (trial or otherwise)
• Able to participate for 12 months
